In 2011, DLA Piper delivered strong financial results and made significant progress in its ambition to be the leading global business law firm.
Financial Highlights – 2011
Total revenue: $2.25bn/£1.40bn (14.6% increase on 2010)
Profits increased to: $889.3m/£554.3m (14.3% increase as compared to 2010)
Business Highlights – 2011
In 2011 DLA Piper achieved a series of number one rankings including: Number one among the world’s leading global law firms (Law 360); number one legal adviser for global M&A by deal volume (mergermarket); and number one by volume for private equity and venture capital transactions (Dow Jones).
Corporate Developments – Geographic expansion
Over the last eighteen months, DLA Piper has continued to expand its geographic footprint: in 2011, it opened an office in Berlin; financially integrated with DLA Phillips Fox in Australia adding offices in Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney; and in February this year the firm opened an office in Mexico City.
